Yes, I believe so and I am keen to explore with you how being more present can improve your sense of well-being and reduce anxiety and depression.  Together we can explore how it can be a powerful vehicle to access stillness and peace.
Do you often criticise yourself? Instead, can you learn to be your own “best friend”?
A lot of clients I speak with struggle with the conflicting voices we all hear in our minds.  Our minds can feel confused, like we have many different voices – it’s because they reflect the many different parts of us. Often we can feel that our inner voices are critical and self sabotaging. For example, sometimes we are looking at what we’re doing and judging if it’s good enough. Our inner voice becomes that of a judge – focusing harshly both on our flaws, and the flaws of those around us. Another common voice in us is oour inner victim.
Can breathing exercises help to soothe and support me?
Many clients come to me feeling tense and agitated, so I will often suggest a short breathing exercise to help settle you before we start a counselling session. I can vary breathing exercises so they are tailored to your likes and dislikes. You can take them away and use them in between sessions as a tool to ease anxiety, help with depression, and increase your energy or focus. How can I adjust to living with a chronic condition and find activities to suit me?
Everyone’s experience of having a chronic health problems is unique to them as an individual.  You may be healing from an operation or have a long term condition, for example asthma, diabetes, ME or Crohns, or other respiratory, heart or auto-immune conditions. If you have to miss activities you used to enjoy, or have to decline offers and invitations from friends and family to join in activities; this may leave you feeling anxious, left behind and alone.
